Melstock Community Allotments

Melstock Community Allotments have around 35 Plots and can be found in Kings Heath Birmingham close to the Red Lion Public House.

The site is quite secluded being surrounded by houses on 3 sides and playing fields on the other. As a result unwanted visitors are rarely if ever seen. Apart from a couple of taps there are no other amenities on site though it is hoped at some stage to raise the funds to address this.

Many local residents have plots on the site, and although part of Birmingham City Council, the allotments are self-managed by a small committee of volunteer plot holders.

For both young and old Melstock Allotments is a vital community resource. Benefitting from healthier eating and exercise our diverse group of tenants offer mutual advice and support to each other and you are never short of a friendly chat or words of wisdom.
